Nicky Taylor

Nicky Taylor is an artist we saw playing solo on at the Big Note Club in North London recently. Among all the performers that night her act really cut through as something special. The vocals were folk magic reminding me of a bygone era. This was a solo performance consisting of only two songs I later heard her debut album, Rivers. The album blends modern sounds of Jazz and soul into a rich texture which suits Nickys voice perfectly. Its well worth a listen. Nicky is currently performing solo at acoustic venues around London and writing new material for her next album.
