Emilys track ''2000 years'' available on the Song Makers Project Compilation.

A few September's ago at the age of 23, Hertfordshire singer songwriter went to Dublin for a break ... and made a momentous decision. She would attempt to become a professional singer. It was a bold gamble but early signs are that it could pay off. Some might say this is something ordained at birth. Her parents met at a folk club and her mum was runnning Hitchin Folk club at 15 - and still runs it 35 years later.

"When I was growing up I wasn't really aware of anything but folk music. I didn't know that other children were experiencing a a very different childhood. I was playing guitar at nine when everyone else was listening to Wham! I was into Gregson and Collister. I used to take a sleeping bag and to the club and curl up in the corner. I remember Roy Harper nights being quite wild and Bob Fox & Stu Luckley influenced me a lot as a child. And one time John James stayed and spent alot of time showing me how to play guitar."
