| Divided Souls - this could well be my best ever album with songs of heartfelt social concern such as Crimson Red, which deals with the alarming rise in knife crime on our city streets. There are songs dealing with matters of the heart, The top of the Mountain, Ship No Anchor. Songs of optimism such as Free as a Bird. An album to cherish. | |

My latest album recorded May 2008. A wonderful collection, full of both grit and grace. As rootsy as Robert Johnson playing in a shack, before handing over to Bill Withers. A reworking of ten tracks from the full band recordings on Soul Sketches and River Roding. |

The song "Count me on" is inspired by a mixture of influences one, a chat I had with a Muslim Cab driver about world peace. The other imagining someone following Moses around in the desert for 40 years, having been born just after they were freed from Egypt and only just holding on to faith. Plus my own personal frustrations with the world situation, complex song rendered so simple. |

My Favourite solo acoustic, recorded just before my ADAT recorder packed up for good. I love Jericho, Life's Great Adventure, Slow Time - all of em. The track Two Arrows was inspired by Paul Weller describing his two kids as "little arrows from our bow fly" on the sleeve notes of the album, Wild Wood. The Poet Kahlil Gibran coined the phrase originally. It's a lovely sentiment one I adopted for my two kids. The song is for them. |

After not recording anything for a while I thought why not record solo and see what happens. When I first started I used to record like this on cassette tapes and got a lot of positive feed back so on I went. No Eric Bibb on the guitar by a long way but it works because I care about putting something over - communicating. |

This is the album with the highest production values of all my recordings, thanks to Producer Roger Askew and Engineer Juan Lopez. The track River Roding is the pick of the bunch for me. |

Brilliant compilation including tracks from Billy Bragg, Bert Jansch and Eric Bibb. Also Sam Genders' (now of Tunng) first release the haunting Never Die. Plus Buick 6 with Get Real and Brothers Falloon loads of emerging talent. Now deleted - shame. Still a few left on Amazon though. |

I like this album, a full band recorded in a room. Like Music from the Big Pink. Nice ideas and songs still a few left, less then a 100. |
