Brothers Falloon

Every now and then when one is out and about you sometimes are fortunate to come across a marvelous performance from a artists you've never heard of. This happened earlier this year when I came across the Brothers Falloon, packing loads of energy and bashing out deep rootsy Americana type music. Sounded like the two had been teleported from some swamp in New Orleans. Matt Falloon handles most of the lead vocals and plays mainly rhythm, while brother Pete Falloon, offers backing vocals and complimentary lead lines. They play original material that reminds me of Bob Dylan and Jackson Browne. Definitely worth seeing when you get a chance. Pete spoke to us recently about his deliberations.

1) Alot of people comment on the amount of energy you project on stage, who do you enjoy watching live ?

I really enjoyed seeing Sting on his Brand New Day tour - I went over to Lille with Celine (my fiancee) and we had a great time, there was a real party atmosphere, and people of ALL ages there were getting down. I was also lucky to see Ian Drury and Carleen Anderson with Paul Weller a while back, and they were great too. Jazz guitarists always amaze me though. I saw JTQ several times a while back, they also have great energy. But top prize has to be to the good old Stone Roses, I saw them at Wembley after 'Second Coming' and John Squire was simply amazing. Even Kerrang gave it a good write up!
