Amy Wadge releases her new album WOJ this month Recorded at Monnow Valley Wales . It Features 13 self-penned tracks and is Amy's first 'proper' album release. It really is worth a listen at times sounding like Joni Mitchell at others Sheryl Crow at her best. The songs on this album took over two years to write - Amy uses her songwriting as a diary, writing what she feels at the time. The album has a fine balance of uplifting guitar driven ballads (Valley Boy) to down tempo, contemplative piano led songs (Nothing) The second track in particular , the spine tingling, angst-full "Scream" showcases Amy's ability to go from delicate complexity to full gravel edged workout in just a few notes.

On the album, Amy's band includes Aled Richards (Catatonia) on drums, producer, Dave Bronze, ( Eric Clapton, Eric Bibb) on bass and features guest guitarist, Robbie Macintosh (The Pretenders, Paul McCartney) on lead guitar

Born in the village of Backwell, just outside Bristol, Amy got her first Radio 1 airplay at the age of just 14. As half of the girl-group 'Two of a Mind', she recorded a cover version of 'The Great Pretender' and reached number 75 in the charts. Aged 16, Amy decided to go solo, performing as a singer/songwriter. She went on to study at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Cardiff, and settled permanently in Wales.

Amy is currently gigging hard at venues up and down the country. She gives a polished performance, in the past she has supported Stereophonics, Van Morrison, Damien Rice, Eric Bibb and Lenny Kravitz. You can check her out for yourself at the following venues;
